Kroger Outguns MacPherson

It never hurts to have too many Sheriffs.

No, John Kroger hasn't pulled an Aaron Burr. He just managed to bring more hired guns and got the drop on the veteran legislator, Greg MacPherson. While poking around Lefty Blogs today, I saw some fun one-upsmanship in the Oregon Attorney General race. Here were the dueling posts, sent up one after the other:

Eight Sheriffs Endorse John

Oregon Attorney General candidate John Kroger today announced the endorsements of eight Oregon sheriffs, further cementing his support among law enforcement leaders and associations from across the state...

Two Oregon Sheriffs Endorse Greg for AG

This week Tillamook County Sheriff Todd Anderson and Washington County Sheriff Rob Gordon declared their support for Greg in the race for Oregon's next Attorney General....

Poor Mac. He brings out the guns only to have Kroger one-up him with an extra six lawmen. It's wholly appropriate, considering the recent Willamette Week cover.
