On Spacecraft and Walking Dead
As you may have heard, the U.S. Government has shot down a satellite in order to prevent its contents of toxic fuel from crash-landing. With the hit, the mini-crisis came to an end. Currently, the satellite's pieces are burning up in the atmosphere. But what would have happened if the government had ignored the danger?
Zombies. Lots of zombies.
In George Romero's Night of the Living Dead, the cause of the zombie outbreak is ostensibly a rogue satellite bringing toxic radiation to Earth. Please review this footage for the situation's seriousness. Discussion of our topic comes at 2:40 minutes along:
So, you see, it might be a good thing that the government shot down this satellite. If they hadn't, and somehow it had crash-landed, we'd be armpits-deep in walking dead.
