CES Day 1
I got into LAS earlier than I expected, but since my hotel is closer to Portland than the LVCC, I didn't register until the show floor was closing. First impression is that this place is overrun with madmen and dorks. I'm starving.
CES gets a B
Las Vegas gets a C+
I get a D-
I'm in the Seagate/Podtech Bloghaus, drinking their free drinks and video conferencing somewhere with strangers. More soon.

Fed and rested, feeling much better.
All the talk I've heard so far has been around GPS, mobile music streaming (i.e. Pandora and clones), and new toys for Guitar Hero. I don't play much Guitar Hero, and I love mobile streaming, so GPS is the biggest surprise for me. A year ago I wouldn't have expected to see GPS taking off the way it is; Soon I'll be the most lost person in America.
Also, word 'round the Bloghaus is that the Warner transition to Bluray is the death blow for HD DVD. Sorry if you commited early.
The counter-argument is that both formats are dead and the HD content of the future will come from the network through set-top boxes and other streaming interfaces. I like the future functionality that scenario represents, but not the endless service fees. Either way I'm holding out until something distinguishes itself.
Fight amongst yourselves.
