Yahoo launches Election Dashboard

Posted by Michael on December 15, 2007 at 2:59 p.m. in Technology, Politics

As reported by Techcrunch, Yahoo has launched a pretty kickass Election Dashboard for 2008. (The dashboard itself is right here.) It takes data from a few sources and aggregates it into a very easy comparison between presidential candidates, including Intrade, an Irish company that appears to be like the Iowa Electronic Market. You can even get data on a state-by-state basis. Pretty nifty little gadget.

  • The one thing that strikes me is how high Huckabee is despite having raised the least of any candidate on there, less than Ron Paul and the same as Kuccinich.

  • Now waiting for the digg story complaining about how Ron Paul isn't on the list...

    Site is looking good!

    • Thanks! And the reddit story was on the front page for a bit. The title, in case you don't want to click on the link? "Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich Censored From Yahoo "Dashboard" (2008 elections chart)"

      • Goddamn those people are dumb. Can't they read the "other candidates" link?

        • Yahoo should've just anticipated their reaction, and put a special "retarded candidates" section at the bottom.

          • Now now. Let's not insult Mr. Dodd. He did, after all, kick a lot of ass with that FISA thing. Or, well, said he was going to.
