Apparently a common reason people cite for why they would not vote for Obama is they believe he is Muslim. I don't know what's sadder about this, that people would spread rumors that someone is a different religion than he is, or that people actually think that him being Muslim is a reason to vote against him. It makes me ashamed to be American.

The truly unfortunate thing about this is that, if recent experiments are true, repeating the myth in order to deny will actually reinforce it and make more people believe the myth.
