Celebration time: Sam Adams Domain Transfer Party

Posted by Michael on November 02, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. in Portland, Politics, News

Even though the attention span of the internet is virtually nonexistent, I trust you all remember that little dust up over the domains samadamsformayor.com and mayorsamadams.com. Wait, you don't? Then read this, this, this, this, and finally the news from the horse's mouth. All caught up? Good. Let's party!

On Tuesday, November 6, at McCormick & Schmick's Harborside at the Marina, from 6:30pm to 8pm, there's going to be a Domain Transfer Party celebrating the, well, transfer of domains from Mark and Dave to Sam Adams. For those semi-functional alcoholics in denial such as myself, this is a even better excuse than normal to party. But wait, it gets better. They're going to be serving special Mark and Dave Ale. And some of the revenue is going to charity! Awesome.

Speaking of charity, Mark and Dave raised almost $3,000 for charity from auctioning off the infamous letter. Well, actually, the auction went for $1475.90, and then KEX General Manager Robert Dove matched it. Awesome.

So, a huge thanks to Mark and Dave for all of their good work and for fighting the good fight. The local Witigonen crew is going to be there to show our support and thanks - are you going to join us?
