Ron Wyden and his wife, Nancy, are now the proud parents of twins, according to Wyden's site.

Ava Rose Wyden, 5.2 lbs, was born Friday, October 26 at 9:23 am (PST) at the Oregon Health Sciences University. Her brother William Peter (6 lbs) was born 45 seconds later. Nancy Wyden and the twins are in excellent health and expected to leave the hospital in a few days.

Interesting thing, on Wyden's site, the upcoming events are:

• Not sleeping...
• Changing more diapers...

Nancy's business, Strand Bookstore, pioneered selling books by the yard for awesome places like law firms. That's totally sweet. Witigonen World Headquarters could use some book yardage for impressing clients. Wait, no we don't.

Congratulations to the Wydens! Though, of course, we hope that Ron doesn't give an inch in his fight to restore our civil liberties...
