Pie for Merkley

Posted by Michael on October 24, 2007 at 12:07 p.m. in Politics, Health

At Witigonen, we believe that cake is evil and that pie is a return to American values. We are also strong supporters of Jeff Merkley. In celebration of Jeff's birthday on October 24, the Merkley campaign is giving out a sacred family recipe to anybody who gives $10.24 or more. The recipe is, unfortunately, for ice cream cake. You can understand our concerns. However! Witigonen is here with a solution!

If, in addition to donating the $10.24, you donate $5 or more through to the Jeff Merkley campaign through our ActBlue fundraising page, we will send you a Witigonen secret family recipe on how to turn the Merkley family's ice cream cake into an ice cream pie. We'll also include a photoset on our attempt at making it.

Come on people - it's for America!

    • You damn cake-eater!

We look at this not as competition to Mary's campaign, but more a complement. Even if you, for some strange... incomprehensible reason prefer cake over pie, surely you want cake as well as pie, right?
      What could possibly go wrong?

  • Yes, but this begs an all-important question: what is your favorite type of pie?

        • I agree. The odd thing is, the link has nothing to do with Aaron Equipment, but they do make some awesome looking plastic making machines.
