Redhead extinction a hoax! Thank God.

Best news I've heard all day. Hell, all year.

A little while ago there was a big hullabaloo on the internet about how redheads were going to be extinct by 2060. However, according HowStuffWorks, this is utter bullshit perpetuated by idiots online and Proctor and Gamble. I know that I, for one, fell for it. It was so tragic and horrible that it had to be true.

Apparently this is something that is fairly common. Redhead extinction was predicted first in 2005 and blonde extinction, which caused an uproar in 2002, was predicted to happen around 2200.

I guess the meaning in all of this is that when somebody predicts the extinction of a hair type, they're full of shit. Also, the internet, as a collective body, is retarded.

However, I'm still going to cherish redheads and blondes like there's no tomorrow.

Just in case.

  • I, for one, was very relieved to find out it was horribly untrue. Thank God for the resiliance of recessive genotypes.

red heads rock and there are no two ways about it. evan andersen wonders why there is federal funding to save the monkeys in africa but not the beautiful locks of a strawberry blonde, with a fiery and creative persona. Long live the redheads.
