"gadget shoulder holster"? Really?
I have to point this out.
http://www.thinkgeek.com/computing/bags/918a/
It's a shoulder holster for your geek stuff - cell phone, dollars, ipod, whatever.
Now, I grew up in love with James Bond, so shoulder holsters have always made me giggle with glee (along with martinis). However, this just seems rather absurd. And, well, hugely geeky. It's been around for a while, I think, and still hasn't had any action shots sent it.
I must admit though, part of me is tempted. I am constantly battling with where to put the stuff I carry around. Bulky pockets are horrible, after all.
Really, though, this kind of thing can only be used under a suit or jacket. Any jacket should have enough pockets to carry these sorts of things. So, it turns out to be utterly pointless. Of course, that describes most of the things ThinkGeek sells, bless them.
I mean, seriously. Who comes up with this stuff?
(on the other hand, http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/electronic/8928/ is pure genius - now we just need something like that all steampunked out)

Comments from site editors have a darker background than comments from everybody else.It does have that cool cop-vibe, but I usually go for a minimalist feel, and so this is just a bit much for me.

Also, it's totally stupid.

Holy God, that's lame. Yeah, it does have a cool cop-vibe, but then, when you put something as lame as a cell phone in it, it instantly has a sad, pathetic, wannabe vibe.

What I imagine happening is coming home with a girl, me taking off my jacket - and her going "..what the fuck is that?"
I mean, seriously. It would take ten minutes to explain and she probably wouldn't stay after that. I know I wouldn't.

But what if she takes off her jacket and is wearing one, and you're already wearing one? Better not to roll the dice, I guess, and that $50 could be better spent taking her on a fantastic little date.

Or booze.
Probably booze.
That $50 will buy you a very nice (and huge) bottle of Finlandia with probably some left over to get some olives. Then you'll have enough dirty martinis for.. oh.. a week or.. ..less.. depending on how much of an alcoholic you are.

And just imagine taking that off at the airport... there would be snickers and snide comments all around.
